…there was an English teacher called Claire who fell in love with flowers.
Aurora Nyx Floral Design was born in the glorious Gloucestershire countryside. After thirteen years of teaching English, my love of flowers and my desire to use my creativity to tell stories in a different way, led to me retraining as a florist at Moreton Morrell College.
From there I worked as a freelance florist at a range of weddings and events across the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire, finding endless inspiration in the way flowers can transform a space into something that feels touched by magic. I’m grateful to the talented florists I worked with and the experiences that gave me the knowledge and confidence to set up my own independent studio in 2022.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do and I care passionately about creating high quality floral designs that will tell your personal story and reflect your individuality and style. Using seasonal flowers and foliage from amazing local growers and other trusted suppliers, I use my creativity and artistry to create beautiful florals that will become part of your treasured, life-long memories and stories that you share with your family and friends.

Being a country music fan, I’d love to go to Nashville and the Blue Bird cafe. I’d also love to visit Sri Lanka, soak up the sun in the Maldives and island hop in Thailand.

In summer, it has to be a pale, dry rose, I’m also partial to a passionfruit martini.

Cotswolds walks with my husband and our pug Buddy; The Labours of Hercule podcast; delicious meals out in the Cotswolds; visiting fashion & art exhibitions and making moreish chocolate cupcakes.
